He was only 6 years old when he started acting.

In 2006, he was cast as one of the hosts for the final season of the teen-themed newsmagazine CBC TV series, Street Cents. For this, Eli Goree was nominated for a Gemini Award in the “Best Youth Non-Fiction Series” category.

He played the role of Malik in the TV sitcom, Da Kink in My Hair, in 2009.

Eli Goree was cast as Dave Albritton, the popular American athlete, in the 2016 biographical sports drama film, Race, which starred Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, Jeremy Irons, Carice van Houten, and William Hurt. The film is based on the African-American athlete Jesse Owens and for his performance in the movie, Goree won the 2017 Leo Award in the “Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Motion Picture” category and was also nominated for a 2016 UBCP/ACTRA Award in the “Best Actor” category.

From 2018, he started to portray the character of Munroe “Mad Dog” Moore in the American teen drama television series, Riverdale, whose lead cast comprised of actors such as KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, and Marisol Nichols.
