Nishant Acharya (born between 1993 – 1997; Age: 26 – 30 years) was a Nepalese Guitarist and musician from Kathmandu. He was well-known for his released finger-style song with the lyrics of Saadhan Prasoon Na. On Sunday, 15 January 2023, Nishant passed away in the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara. 

After the death news, his fans including rock singer and actor Abhay Subba, Ravin Tamang, and rock band Monkey Temple have paid tribute to Acharya on social media. In 2021, Acharya was known when he went from 20 followers to 22k in a single month on TikTok.

On January 15, 2023, Sunday, Yeti Airlines ATR 72 aircraft crashed and went down in the nearby Seti River Gorge. In that plane crash, popular guitarist and musician Nishant Acharya passed away. The plane traveled from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Nepal. 68 passengers and four crew members, counting 72 people, were on board. 

According to the civil aviation authority, 53 of the passengers and all four crew members were from Nepal. There were also fifteen international passengers including five Indians, two Koreans, and four Russians. Furthermore, the rest people were from Argentina, Australia, France, and Ireland.

Musical Career / Band

Nishant was a popular long-haired guitarist, musician, social media influencer, and content creator. He had gained more than 65.2K followers on TikTok and 10.9K followers on Instagram. He was also a YouTuber who used to share various vlogs and music videos on his channel, with over 28K subscribers in Jan 2023. 

Before his musical career, from August 2017 to March 2021, he worked full-time as a digital marketing manager in an IT company. Nishant began playing music with his school orchestra at the age of 13 when he was a teenager. In September 2019, Acharya founded the music band FreakStrings.
