Sometimes a wayward short can cause more trouble than losing a stroke. The golf ball can seriously injure a spectator present on the hole if the professional does not shout “Fore.” A similar case happened in the first round of the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with the veteran professional Ryan Palmer.
The 45-year-old professional was in the limelight during the first round for all the wrong reasons. Palmer hit a wayward tee shot on one of the par-four and leaked his tee-shot right. However, a young fan was present on the rough’s right side, and the ball hit his right thigh and rebounded towards less danger around the rough. But the foremost thing to notice is that Palmer did not say “Fore”, which every professional shouts at the top of their lungs while hitting a wayward shot.
Moreover, the clipping of the same was uploaded by PGA Tour on April 22nd. The video broke out on the internet through a tweet from PGA Tour’s official Twitter account and soon went viral.

The American professional showed concern towards the kid and checked on him while walking towards his ball. Ryan gave the young fan his signed glove and clicked a few pictures with him.
As a result, he made the kid feel better after being hit by his tee shot. Moreover, the announcers and the other spectators applauded Ryan’s gesture toward the kid.

The fans did not appreciate Palmer not shooting Fore when he hit his tee shot right. Ryan Palmer wins the 2019 Zurich Classic
Palmer and Jon triumphed at the PGA Tour event back in 2019. The duo won the event with an overall score of 26-under-par. As a result, they won the team event with a three-shot margin after the final round on Sunday. Furthermore, the carded round of eight under par, 64, seven under par, 65, eight under par, 64, and a final round of three-under-par, 69. Rahm and Palmer also won prize money worth $1,051,200 each, along with 400 FedEx points each.
Sergio Garica and Tommy Fleetwood finished as the runner-up team. They ended the event with an overall score of 23-under-par. As a result, Garica and Fleetwood finished in solo second position.
